The last thing I want to share with you in this week’s email has made a big difference in our lives, in terms of putting things into perspective about events in our country — and for that matter — around the world.

There’s a content creator we’ve known for quite awhile now named, Derek Johnson.

From digging into Derek’s excellent research — all of which is publicly available by the way — I can reasonably say that Trump, has remained our Commander in Chief, since the National Defense Authorization Act was signed into law, December 20, 2019.

On that day, Space Force was established, the Defense Production Act was prepared for amendment, the Court’s Martial Handbook was reissued — and — the Uniform Code of Military Justice was reissued, overhauled with new laws.

That is the day President Trump, became a “war time president”.  As such, the power of the office is extended and goes beyond the Presidential term. This has happened before in our history, though very few people know that.

Now… just because I think this is true, doesn’t mean you should.

In fact, I don’t think anyone should think what I think.

I think people should think for themselves and figure things out for themselves and not just believe anything that comes along. Discernment is more critical now than ever before.

Because I said what I just said…

…some folks might take that to mean I’m a card-carrying MAGA groupie with the hat and the t-shirt.

Hmmm… I think I do have a hat that says ‘make America great again’ come to think of it. It’s somewhere in storage.

Anyway…

…the point is that I think this is true because it is true and for no other reason. It would be true if I were a D or an R, something in between or nothing at all — and that is the point.

I share this with you for two reasons: (1) it’s going to come up again in this newsletter and if this idea offends, this weekly email might not be for you — and (2) we’re heading into what appears to be a very interesting year ahead with an election? — and it’s probably going to be quite a ride.

Could I be wrong about this?

Sure.

But… don’t think so.

One advantage of arriving at this conclusion in a thoughtful and reasonable way is it reminds me and J. — and we have talked about this in detail — when the mainstream melts down about this or that and things go into a frenzy —  It. Is. Theater. 

Where it goes remains to be seen.
